Statement Concerning Rothschild/Weston Shooting Incident

22 March 2017

On behalf of the Wisconsin Valley Radio Association and the greater amateur radio community, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of those who were affected by today’s shootings in Rothschild and Weston.

Since the club’s inception in 1934, the WVRA has worked with law enforcement, first responders, and community leaders to make our community a better place. Today’s events will undoubtedly affect all of us in one way or another.

I would also like to thank all the men and women in law enforcement, first responders, and government officials who have been on alert throughout the event working tirelessly to keep our community safe and apprehend the suspect.

In respect to the fallen and their families, the club asks that on air discussion of today’s events be kept to a minimum during this period of grief.

Please keep the families of those who perished today in your thoughts and prayers.
